Spyware, viruses, rootkits, and malware are pervasive and can cause irreparable damage to your computer. The tools below may be helpful in removing these malicious programs. Also, here are some basic preventative steps:
- Keep your computer up-to-date via Microsoft Updates online.
- Install and keep antivirus software current, including virus definitions.
- Regularly scan your computer with antispyware software.
- Use a firewall.
